Do we have to stop using our current version right away?
No. Your current version of CoolFocus keeps working while your team gets comfortable with CF5. Both run on the same data. You set the timeline for when the old version goes away.
Will our data look different in CoolFocus 5?
Your data is the same — same donors, same clients, same history. CoolFocus 5 is a new interface on top of the same database. Nothing is migrated or copied. When you enter a gift in one version, it shows up in the other.
What does our admin need to do before we start?
Verify that every user has a unique email address and review the short preparedness checklist we provide. That's it. Most organizations complete this in one sitting.
Can some staff use CF5 while others stay on the old version?
Yes. Your admin controls who has access to CF5. Some team members will be ready faster than others, and that's completely normal. The data stays in sync regardless of which version someone is using.
How long does the transition usually take?
